Territory intelligence for logistics and freight sales

Find the facilities that just made room for more freight, and why now.

TIP is territory intelligence for logistics and freight sales teams: a short list of the shippers, distribution centers and warehouses in your territory that just changed, why they are worth a call or a visit now, who to ask for, and the public record behind it. Who to visit. Why now.

What you get

Start the conversation before the provider is chosen.

A shipper that is growing, moving or adding a building usually has transportation, warehousing or equipment decisions ahead of it. The hard part is finding those shippers while you also have accounts to keep.

A short list for your territory

Instead of working a cold list by size or industry code, each rep gets a short daily list of the facilities in their area where something actually changed.

A first sentence that is not "checking in"

Every entry says what changed, in plain English, with a date. Your rep opens with something specific to that facility, by phone or in person.

Earlier than the bid

Many shippers leave a dated trail while a new site is still being planned or built. That is a chance to meet the people who will run it before the carrier and provider decisions are made.

The right role to ask for

Cards name who usually owns the decision, such as the operations manager or the director of logistics, so the first call or visit goes to the right desk.

Public records show that a facility is changing. They do not show freight volumes, lanes or who a shipper uses today. The first conversation is still where you learn that.

What a TIP looks like

The facility, the clock, the person to ask for.

Each card gives one reason this facility is worth attention now, a dated clock, who to ask for by role, and the record it came from. Account executives who call, email or walk in all start from the same card. Both of these accounts are fictional.

The first facility has already opened and is hiring. The second is earlier, so the conversation is about who will run transportation for a building that is not open yet.

The account brief

Know the facility before you call or visit.

Open a card and the brief puts the facility's recent changes in date order, lists the roles on record and links every fact to its source. Here, construction has not started, so equipment and service decisions are still open.

Why now

More freezer space means more inbound and outbound cold freight and new equipment needs. Construction is expected to start in Q1 (an estimate), so those decisions are still open.

Plainly

What TIP doesn't do

  • TIP doesn't quote freight or show load data. It shows which facilities changed, not what they ship.
  • TIP doesn't plan routes or loads. The territory view groups where activity is, and distances are straight-line.
  • TIP doesn't sell contact data. It names a role to ask for, and the public record behind it.
  • TIP doesn't replace your CRM. Your CRM stays the system of record.
Questions

What logistics sales leaders ask first.

Can TIP tell me a shipper's freight volumes or lanes?

No. Public records and postings show facilities, hiring and expansions, not how much a company ships or where. A new fulfillment site is a reason to ask those questions, and the answers come from your first conversation with the operations or logistics lead.

We sell across many states, but our reps each cover a region. Does that work?

That is how TIP is organized. Coverage is built per industry and region, and each rep sees the list for their own area. New regions can be added, so the sample list for your territory shows what it looks like where your reps work.

How is this different from an intent data tool?

Intent data tools infer interest from online behavior. TIP's reasons come from dated public records and postings you can open yourself, such as a permit, a commission agenda or a job posting, and each card links the record. Some teams use both. They answer different questions.
